Sing Arowanas Pte Ltd was setup in September 2006. Together with Pang Long Pte Ltd (setup in Sept 2005), saw the consolidation of these two companies to form the Fu Long Holdings Pte Ltd which was only established in April 2007. The forming of Fu Long Holdings Pte Ltd was a serious and concerted effort by the two company’s management team to form a cohesive, dedicated and professional team to take us to the next level of arowana farming.
These fairly new ventures were brought together by a group of like minded individuals who saw the investment opportunity and potential in breeding arowanas for this still nascent market. This was not an easy market to break into and we would like to take this opportunity to thank the ‘forefathers’ of this industry in Singapore. They have definitely inspired us with their persistence and hard work in showing us that perseverance does pay off eventually.
These are indeed exciting times for us with the opening of new markets like China where the potential is limitless.
Our core vision and strategy is about building a solid foundation which will be able to cater for any growth in worldwide demand. We intend to harness the experience that we have gain thus far to build this infrastructure that would enable us to have at least several generations of arowana in line to help cater for the growing demand that we have envisioned.
We have come a long way in the few years since we started this farm. We have made some mistakes but we have taken them all in stride as we take each failure as a learning experience that has certainly spurred us to be where we are today. Today, we are one of the largest farms in Singapore with an exceptional arowana fry yield that has surprised many. We realize that change is the only constant and we embrace it wholeheartedly to help ensure the long term survivability of our farm. Constant improvement is a journey for us and not the means to an end. Experience counts but adaptability and willingness to deploy new technology will take us a long way.
Our strategy on selling arowanas in Singapore is very different from others in the market. We have experimented with several models but eventually settled on one after numerous feedback from our valued customers. We have decided to go direct to the public in Singapore so that they can get the best prices for quality arowanas. By bypassing all the ‘middle layers’ and selling direct from our farm, hobbyists will realize substantial savings. Feel free to visit our farm anytime as our show rooms are always open.??
As for wholesalers/buyers from other countries, we will definitely provide very competitive pricing for our high quality arowanas. We have done extensive market research and can assure you of our commitment and stringent quality control to provide the best possible service.
We continue to listen to our customers to see what other services that we can provide to them. We are glad to announce that we are incorporating another of the many suggestions that has come our way. We are now providing an ‘Arowana Hotel” service for hobbyist who needs it. This is actually not a new concept as some exclusive Koi farms in Singapore has already been successfully providing these service for years. This is another example of how we have learned and adapted after listening to our valued customers. We are very excited about this opportunity as it fits in with our ‘one stop shop’ concept for arowanas lovers.
